On Sunday 16th November the Sunshine Coast Jazz Club is proud to present an afternoon of live music with BIG KITTY! With an ensemble of some of the finest musicians in Queensland, roots planted in jazz and blues, this audacious 7-piece live act features the incomparable BIG KITTY on searing vocals.
Matty Eves on double bass and Coojee Timms on drums together provide the stomping rhythm, Rupert Jenner on a guitar adds a little twang and plenty of scorching licks, and a two-piece horn section featuring Brisbane jazz favourite Mal Wood on trumpet, Zoe Atkinson on trombone and Neil Wickham on tenor sax (and piano), brings the red hot brass. Three and four part vocal harmonies round out the sound, drawing influences from early Jazz, R&B and even Bluegrass.
Expect an afternoon of dancin', dreamin' and sweatin' whenever Big Kitty hit the stage.
Doors open at 12.00 (Noon) and the show starts at 13.00 at the Pelican Room, Caloundra Power Boat Club, 2 Lamerough Parade, Golden Beach.
Ticket prices are: Members $22.50; Seniors $25.00; Non-members $27.50
