On Sunday 15th February 2026 the Sunshine Coast Jazz Club is excited to bring you the Ingrid James Quintet presenting “My Funny Valentine”. The Club’s event is inspired by the celebration of love and Valentine’s Day! "Nobody has ever measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold." Zelda Fitzgerald. St Valentine, the patron saint of love, reminds us that this is a weekend to celebrate those we hold close to us.
The Club is delighted that Ingrid James, Queensland award-winning jazz singer and ABC Jazz artist, will be joining us on this Valentines weekend to celebrate love through the Great American and Brasilian Songbooks with songs that will melt your heart, stir your souls and make your feet tap. With classics such as My Funny Valentine, Misty, In A Sentimental Mood to some classics from Cole Porter, Gershwin, Michel Legrand, Johnny Mercer, Chet Baker, Gerry Mulligan, Jobim, The Beatles and beyond, Ingrid will offer a feast of flavours with her all- star lineup – Brendan St Ledger (piano), Owen Newcomb (bass), Dave Sanders (drums) and Darren Macpherson (saxes/flute).
Ingrid James is an internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist known for her warm, crystalline tone and impeccable phrasing. A storyteller at heart, Ingrid’s artistry lies in her ability to honour the roots of jazz while expanding its possibilities. She has performed, collaborated and recorded with an impressive array of international and Australian jazz artists and toured the UK, France, Italy, Czech Republic as well as Los Angeles, while remaining a passionate advocate for music education and community engagement at home in Australia.

Doors open at 12.00 (Noon) and the show starts at 13.00 at the Pelican Room, Caloundra Power Boat Club, 2 Lamerough Parade, Golden Beach.
Ticket prices are: Members $22.50; Seniors $25.00; Non-members $27.50
