GIRL FRIDAY REVIEW

GIRL FRIDAY, the well-known Sunshine Coast group, on Sunday 15th May at the Caloundra Power Boat Club, from the opening song had the audience in the palms of their hands.  “Too Darn Hot”, “The Masquerade”, “I've Got You Under My Skin” segued into the Louis Prima ”Just a Gigalo” were some of the great songs Michelle and her trio entertained the appreciative audience with.

Michelle, who is a very entertaining vocalist, sang many well-known songs in the first set “Mack The Knife”, “Stevie Wonder's “ You are the Sunshine of My Life” which had the dance floor packed with couples strutting their stuff.

Set 2 featured the trio of talented musicians to excel with Brubeck's “Take Five”.  The floor was full of dancers when Michelle sang “Beyond The Sea”, “Sway” and “The More I See You”.  There was a very appreciative applause for the trio's backing of “Unchain My Heart” which was beautifully sung by Michelle who has such a controlled voice that is a joy to hear. As always, it had to end and with a final song the afternoon came to close with a large very satisfied audience giving GIRL FRIDAY a well-deserved ovation.
